Cape Town Concert Brass

Charles Cunningham

Charles joined us in 2001 and has been a stalwart on the 1st Horn chair until his departure for the UK in the 2nd quarter of 2006.  Charles learned about horn playing at school (Bishops) where he was part of the brass ensemble and the school orchestra.

Charles is currently in London Ireland exploring a bit of the world and learning about life, the universe and everything.  We are informed that he has an "awesome job" there but still need details...

Charles has always had interesting hair styles and unusual T-shirts - a classic shown in his photograph (on the right) saying "Forwards is backwards".

Charles misses the band; at the time of writing we have just received an eMail from him that mentions the upcoming concert in Franschhoek and the music to be played there:

"The Golden Helmet ... Make sure you think of me when you play it..and play it well! Especially that bit where you feel that amazing rising, hair standing on end kind of feeling!! Moments like that are truly amazing!!"

Charles' chair awaits his return.
